I have been a woodworker for many years, and after taking early retirement decided to start selling my work.
Being heavily influenced by the Shaker movement's style I make things as simple and as useful as possible.
In 2005 I studied for a year at the prestigious Chippendale International School of Furniture in East Lothain, Scotland, gaining experience in furniture making, restoration and many other woodworking and finishing techniques.
I use only Scottish hard woods and reclaimed timber.
Most of my work now is made with reused whisky barrels.
I never use exotic hard woods and use only natural oil and wax finishes.
